Fresh Take LLC ("Satwise," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Satwise mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the App.
By using Satwise, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information we collect
We collect three types of information:
Information you provide
- Account information: Email address and password when you sign up.
- Profile data: Optional information like your name, target SAT score, and test date.
- Practice activity: Your answers to practice questions, time spent, and which topics you study.
- Communications: Messages you send to us through feedback or support emails.
Information collected automatically
- Device information: Device model, operating system version, app version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage data: Which features you use, when you open the app, and how long you spend in each section.
- Performance data: Crash reports and error logs to help us fix bugs.
Information from third parties
- Apple: When you subscribe, Apple confirms your subscription status to us. We don't see your full payment information.
- Authentication providers: If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a verified email and a unique identifier.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Satwise app and its features.
- Personalize your study plan based on your practice performance.
- Generate AI-powered hints and explanations through our partner Anthropic (your practice content is shared with Anthropic only to generate the response and is not used to train their models).
- Send you transactional emails (account confirmations, subscription receipts, and important service updates).
- Respond to your support requests and feedback.
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and abuse.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising purposes. Ever.
3. When we share information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers: Companies that help us operate the app — including Supabase (hosting and database), Anthropic (AI hints), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Apple (App Store distribution and authentication).
- For legal reasons: If required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
- With your consent: When you explicitly ask us to share information with a third party.
- In a business transfer: If Fresh Take LLC is acquired or merged, your information may transfer to the new entity, with notice to you.
4. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
That said, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we'll delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.
5. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your account and personal information.
- Portability: Receive your information in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Opt-out: Withdraw consent for processing where consent is the legal basis.

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
EU and UK residents have rights under the GDPR, including those listed above plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
6. Information from minors
Satwise is designed for high school students preparing for the SAT, which means many of our users are under 18.
- If you are under 13, please do not use Satwise. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in compliance with COPPA.
- If you are between 13 and 17, you should use Satwise with the consent of a parent or guardian where required by your local laws.
- If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact legal@satwise.app and we'll delete it promptly.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email before the change takes effect.
